Hurricane Season Advice 101 - Have an itemized Hurricane Evacuation Checklist ~

This can be invaluable because families typically are stressed out and somewhat hysterical when faced with evacuating their home.
Even when they should Remain Calm, Centered and Confident during the possible incoming hurricane.

It’s right at this time - Critical items tend to get missed and Forgotten.

Imagine forgetting your cell phones. Many people forget their life-saving medications.

So I gave available Hurricane Season Preparedness advice another look over. As a result I created a revealing “Pre-Evacuation Checklist”.

1) Get the latest Hurricane Reduction Specifics for Each Hurricane, Tropical Storm and Typhoon Dissipations in Real Time.

2) Bookmark the Weather Channel website and check it once a week to be aware of any upcoming hurricanes. Go to the hurricane forecast section and bookmark that page. It’s good to have several Weather sites to refer to. Because 1 or More weather sites may be Forced offline, it’s smart to have other weather alert sources…

3) Bookmark Local Weather Sites.

4) You May Get Lost or Separated -  Put together a plan for all family members to meet at several possible safe locations. This is very important. You or your wife may be distracted, and your kid was wandering around for example.

I recommend that you pick five possible hurricane shelter locations around the destination town or city. This way your entire family will be safe no matter where they are. This provides for the situation that one of your family members is unable to drive or be driven to you.

5) Cell Phones for the Family -

A - Numerous emergency situations may arise that would require emergency phone service.

B - The kids could trip and fall on unseen obstacles underneath floodwaters and require an emergency rescue for example.

C - A child may be stranded without a way of contacting you.

D - Consider purchasing extra cell phone batteries.

E - Get a car charger.  Many people overlook this because they will always be home that evening to recharge the battery. What if you were without power for 10 days?

6) A Rain Poncho for Each Person - Combined with a Wool Blanket, This will keep you Warm and Dry.

7) A Thick Warm, 100% Wool Blanket for each Family Member. Wool has the incredible ability to keep you warm even when it’s wet. Unlike Cotton which will feel cold and clammy.

One Week’s worth of Naturally Dried Fruits, Nuts and Health Bars per family member. Stored in Several Gallon Sized Ziplock Bags Sealed Inside each other…

9) One Week’s worth of Distilled Water per person - Get the 2 1/2 Gallon sized Water containers from supermarket. They provide more room in your evacuation vehicle.

10) Fill Up your Autos With Gas Early ~ As far as Spare Gas Cans, ONLY for your Garage and Never for your actual Evacuation from a hurricane.
(Major Safety Hazard) DON’T evacuate with Gas in your Cans - in your Auto!!! Gas fumes would build and create a disaster in many ways.

11) NEW EMPTY Plastic Gas Cans in your Trunk. I like 2 - 5 rectangular Plastic Gallon size.

12) Check Tire Pressure and Condition

13) Check All Fluids under the Hood.

14) Check all Belts and Hoses to be Pliable and Not Cracked or Stiff.

15) Change the Oil? - Couldn’t Hurt.

17) Plan several Evacuation Routes on your Map or GPS. Always Give yourself 5 or 6 Options. This will better focus and prepare your family when faced with things like Accident Blockages…

18) Get your Whole Family Involved Early with your Hurricane Evacuation Planning and Preperation. It serves to provide a needed sense of confidence. focus and centering at critical times…

19) Perhaps the most promising approach to hurricane preparedness is to peacefully manifest a reduction in the hurricane’s deadly forces of energy. I realize that this is a very forward thinking concept - 18 successful Hurricane Reductions later it’s been proven over the past three years…

Deadly Hurricane Season 2008 is upon us.

Like every other year for the past 10 years, 2008 is absolutely critical to take seriously.

With this in mind let’s go over a hurricane preparedness checklist together.

If a Hurricane Directly Sets a Path to Your City or Town, Do This -

1) Get prepared with the necessary plywood to board up the windows in your house.
Tip - We actually have our plywood Sheets Cut Down to window size, Then Marked Individually. This saves hours at critical times for taking action.

2) Do you have at least two weeks supply of canned and dry goods on hand? This is a good rule of thumb for the average family. Be sure to rotate these items and not save them just for the next hurricane disaster. Canned goods and dry goods have a shelf life. Typically that shelf life is not longer than one hurricane season anyway.

3) Make a emergency evacuation checklist of all the items your family may need if you are forced to leave your home for several weeks. Again this is a good rule of thumb for a potentially disastrous hurricane.

4) Plan several possible places for your children to meet with you should you ever not be together when facing a threatening hurricane. Typically there are several public shelters in every town or city. Be sure to check ahead of time of course.

5) Public schools colleges are libraries may be another option. Again check ahead of time. Draw a simple map to five of these alternatives on a eight by five index card. Have those index cards laminated. You can also hole punch them to put in your child’s school binder.

The first is Tropical Storm Kyle. It’s windspeeds are at 60 MPH. Kyle will pass by the New England States this weekend.

As I type these words, people in Houston
are scrambling to leave the city.

The Mayor has urged many to evacuate.

The next hurricane, Rita, is bigger and badder
than Katrina, and it’s headed this way.

Yes, our area is in the path of the hurricane,
too.

With luck, by the time it hits mainland Texas,
it will have dropped from a category 5 to a
category 1 hurricane. We’re stocking up on
supplies, like everyone else.

While the world is still reeling from the effects
of Katrina, we’re now bracing for something
that could be just as bad, or worse.

As I listen to the news, and watch people, the
key word that everyone says or seems to
breathe is “victim.”

We’re victims of storms.

We’re victims of chance.

We’re victims of a poorly run government.

We’re victims of gas prices, gas shortages,
inflation, recession, taxes, wars, and now –
the worst of all — Mother Nature.

I’m going to say something unusual. It may
upset some people. I’m hoping it will inspire
you. Here goes:

You have more power than you think.

While you may not want to stand in the path
of Rita, you don’t have to cower under the bed.

As odd as it may sound, I believe that if enough
of us think positive, we can create a counter
storm of sorts. We can protect ourselves and
our loved ones with our thoughts.

I’ve described and proved this with the research
in the back of my book, “The Attractor Factor.”
Nineteen studies *proved* that when a large
group of people hold positive intentions,
those intentions radiate out and become reality.

No, I’m not saying ignore the storm warnings. I’m
saying don’t get caught up in the fear that the
warnings often trigger.

Look. If you think the storm will get you, then
it’s already gotten you. You’re living in fear.
Your life is dark, gloomy and in a cage. The
media is flawless at whipping us into fear.

So I suggest ignoring the media. It’s not
information, it’s propaganda. It gets large
groups of people to think negative, which
of course then becomes reality.

Why can’t we do the opposite?

Why can’t we get large groups of people
to think positive?

At this very moment, as I type this and you
read this, all is well.

Isn’t it?

Aren’t you ok?

Aren’t you feeling fine right now?

Yes, be sure to have batteries and water
and supplies.

But also check the storehouse in your mind.

Are you living in fear, or living in trust?

Are you focused on the negative, or are
you doing something to create a positive?

We are all, always, at choice.

My plea is that the readers of my ezine –
you — will stop, breathe, and focus; pray,
or in some positive way send out an energy
that will help dissolve the fear in and around us.

I’m asking you to do this on Saturday, the day
Rita is scheduled to visit Texas.

As I was finishing this article, UPS delivered
two books to me. Both are timely and worth
mentioning.

“Unconditional Bliss” says you can find
happiness in the face of hardship.

I think this is relevant. While the media is
making us shake in our boots, we can
choose to take care of ourselves and
others *while* remaining happy.

Happiness is a choice.

The other book looks just as fascinating.
It’s “Megatrends 2010″ by Pat Aburdene.

To my surpirse (and delight), the book
declares that the future will be more
focused on spirit.

Well, let’s create the future right now.

Let’s focus on spirit.

What I’m asking you to do is be happy,
right now. Smile. Send that loving energy
out, in the direction of Texas. Intend for
all to be well, for, in reality, all is well.

In fact, pretend you are the eye of the
hurricane. That’s the center where all
is at peace. *Be* that peace and send
that peace from the eye to the hurricane
itself, imagining it dropping in intensity.

We can make a difference.

It begins with you.

Governor Charlie Christ was prepared for Ike by having a plan of evacuation. Combined with the local news stations this has proven to be an effective pre-warning system.

I understand that the city of New Orleans and the surrounding areas as well as state of Texas are closely watching hurricane Ike. If not already, these city and state officials there are within days of making important decisions regarding Ike as well.

Which leads us to - what Else can be done to minimize national disasters and the outcry for hurricane relief?

As former Category 4 hurricane Ike makes its way through the Gulf of Mexico towards the state of Texas as I write this…

A typical response is to become uncertain and worried. This is natural. THe bast response however is to have a well centered state of calmness and confidence in your situation.

It’s proven that whenever a group of people positively project an unusual state of calmness towards a situation, that situation can indeed soften in its severity.

Back in 1972 a gifted doctor from India named the Maharishi had proven this with a group of dedicated meditators focusing on peace for Washington, DC.

The results were indeed very promising. Washington, DC within that spectrum of time, had a proven 16% less crime rate.

So global readers what I recommend today to start off by projecting positive intentions towards a calmer consciousness in both Louisiana and the state of Texas.

Next let’s focus on our primary objective to performing a successful hurricane reduction. Yes, our key focus is hurricane Ike’s potentially deadly wind speeds. Never forget that Ike in fact, was a major category 4 hurricane with winds of 145 miles an hour however.

Currently hurricane Ike has been successfully dissipated down to wind speeds within 70 mph. That is an astonishing 75 mph reduction already.

Do not sign off on hurricane Ike yet. Ike has set a path right into the Gulf of Mexico.

The Gulf of Mexico is notorious for both drawing in a hurricane, and increasing a potentially deadly hurricanes strength.

Since my first successful hurricane reduction with hurricane Rita three years ago, I have developed a set of specific focusd manifestations to teach my students worldwide.

Hurricane Ike’s peak in power, had wind speeds of up to 145 miles an hour.

Due to the hurricane reduction style meditations of myself and my global team, Ike is now dissipated down to a category one hurricane. Currently it’s wind speeds are at 80 miles an hour.

Although the Florida Keys are experiencing some of Ike’s rain bands, this one could have been a lot worse for the state of Florida indeed.

Remember that this one has been reduced considerably already - “Ike has been successfully reduced down over 60mph so far…”

I recommend our previous hurricane reduction strategy that worked considerably well with hurricane Gustav.

Hurricane Ike’s wind speeds are going to be our primary consideration. Ike has displayed considerable power before in Cuba for example. The Gulf of Mexico has historically been known to enhance the power of tropical storms and often turning them into hurricanes.

Ike as you know, has already been a quite dangerous hurricane in Cuba.

I have been working to dissipate hurricane Ike for the past three days. Join us.  I reduced the wind speeds down from a category four hurricane to a category three hurricane so far.

In contrast to tropical storm Hanna, Ike is still considered a major threat.

Ike has a very well formed “Eye” and although it’s wind speeds have been reduced by my manifestations, there are still more hurricane reduction efforts to be done.  Currently the deadly windspeeds are reduced from 145 MPH to 125 MPH. This makes it a Category 3 Hurricane instead of a Category 4 Hurricane.

Like hurricane Gustav, Ike or any other major hurricane threat, Ike will take a higher level of hurricane dissipation efforts to bring it down to thunderstorm levels.

While it is too early to say which direction hurricane Ike will ultimately follow, I recommend these specific hurricane reduction approaches:

1) First and foremost - let’s further reduce the wind speeds of Ike considerably. If you have read my previous posts, you already know the value of hurricane reduction techniques on a deadly hurricane’s destructive winds. So needless to say dissipating hurricane Ike’s winds will undoubtedly be the most significant factor.

2) Second - Let’s keep this one out to sea in the Atlantic Ocean as much as possible. Although this is not always feasible due to opposing storm fronts, this is a clearly favorable option. Like you have learned a tropical storm Fay, adaptability is the overriding consideration however.

3) Third - let’s manifest considerably less rainfall. This is always a vital factor in dealing with any tropical storm or hurricane. If we can accomplish this, no matter what opposing weather fronts Ike may be influenced by we still have effectively minimized flooding conditions.

4) Forth - Providing calmer seas will minimize the potentially deadly riptides and devastating storm surges. This becomes an even more prominent factor in a case with a major hurricane. As I mentioned in my previous post sea turtles that are nesting in our nation’s shorelines are endangered by tropical storms and hurricanes.

Governor Charlie Christ has already advised locals and vacationers not to go swimming due to the deadly riptides of tropical storm Hanna. Hurricane Ike may turn out to be an even more significant endangerment.

5) Fifth - let’s manifest a continued forward progression regardless of its ultimate path. Tropical storm Fay was an example of this. Because of a opposing weather front, Fay was prevented from heading out into the Atlantic Ocean by this factor.

This opposing weather front also caused Fay to stall several times in the state of Florida. Although Fay’s wind speeds were reduced considerably the stalling conditions were responsible for localized flooding.

So as a result no matter where hurricane Ike may head, be sure to manifest a continuing forward progression to minimize flooding or destructive damages.

Global Team - I recommend that you passionately consider my major hurricane reduction recommendations similar to hurricane Gustav. Whenever possible plan a focused hurricane dissipation meditation in the morning, before lunch, before dinner and before going to bed in the evening.

I found this formula to suit an active lifestyle time-frame the best. This is because it minimizes interference with your daily work and family commitments. In addition it will serve to optimize the reduction of your stress levels. Also, it will provide an ideal centering experience throughout your day. When done just before a meal, your digestion will be optimized.  Finally when you manifest a hurricane dissipation just before bedtime, the quality of your sleep can increase greatly.

Currently Hanna’s wind speeds are at 65 miles an hour. Although this may not be considered a major crisis, Hanna’s wind gusts still have the potential to cause local power outages due to knocked down power lines.

In addition, Hanna may cause flooding conditions in some areas as well. Like tropical storm Fay, Hanna does not need to become a major hurricane to bring upon considerable flooding situations.

Fortunately however the forward progression of tropical storm Hanna will serve to minimize flooding unlike topical storm Fay. Because Fay stalled in several Florida counties, the flooding conditions worsened considerably.

Global team - What I recommend for tropical storm Hanna is to continue to do these 4 things:

1) Continue to manifest a forward progression of tropical storm Hanna. Again this will serve to minimize any local flooding conditions in the New England states.

2) Focus your meditations on further rainstorm reductions. Combined with manifesting a forward progression, local flooding can be minimized.

3) Reduced storm surges are another significant consideration. Deadly riptides have claimed the lives of several swimmers already in the state of Florida. This will also minimize the deadly threat to the nesting grounds for sea turtles as well.

4) In addition continue to manifest a hurricane reduction of Hanna’s wind speeds. This will lessen the chances of power outages greatly.

5) Manifest tropical storm Hanna further out into the Atlantic Ocean. THe less landfall the better…

I am keeping this post short and to the point due to the fact that hurricane Ike is just around the corner so to speak.
